The Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) Test is a non-destructive test (NDT) method used to evaluate the quality and uniformity of concrete. It measures the travel time of ultrasonic pulses passing through the concrete, which helps in assessing its homogeneity, integrity, and relative compressive strength.
Applications of UPV Test:
Method: Ultrasonic pulses are transmitted through concrete using a pair of transducers. The travel time is measured, and the velocity is calculated. Higher pulse velocity indicates good quality, dense concrete, while lower velocity suggests defects or deterioration.
Standards Followed: IS 13311 (Part 1), ASTM C597, BS 1881
We provide accurate Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Testing with detailed reports, ensuring reliable evaluation of concrete quality for industries such as Construction, Infrastructure, Power, Oil & Gas, and Civil Engineering projects.
